What is Web 2.0?

The term "Web 2.0" describes a second-generation of the World Wide Web where interaction and collaboration are able to take place. In an educational setting, using tools with Web 2.0 capabilities allows teachers and students to share ideas and resources, engage in meaningful dialog, conduct research, and generate collaborative outcomes through the use of the Internet. This site has been created to help teachers identify Web 2.0 resources that may be of value to them in the classroom.
